Kit Kat

A year or so after moving to California my family acquire this beautiful Seal Point Siamese cat. My mother asked to me paint her after seeing the results of my watercolor class. On a later visit home from school I had the opportunity to take pictures for the future painting.

What you don’t see you see in the painting is my brother’s hand holding one of her young kittens above her head. I was looking for a pose where she was about to leap or pounce.

This painting is 10 x 14 inches, watercolor on Arches cold press watercolor paper.
